Heat 20 - Romantic Comedy/Anxiety/A brewer

Sniff Master

Determination is everything in dog sports. Dating isn’t on the score sheet.

Maybe they'll like it! I ended up calling a fiction war story the first semi-relevant noun I could see while needing to save the document, ended up keeping it, and it kind of works.

Meanwhile I'm in love with my title for this one despite fearing no one but me and my coworker studying graduate philosophy for her PhD in International Relations will get it OR think it's funny.

Hi heatmates! I think at least the three of us, each went in VERY different directions with our prompts, which is awesome. :)
Edgelords are a bore.

I DEEPLY want to read this one. :)

But will she feel the same?

Hey heatmate! Love your take on the prompts and can’t wait to read!

Thanks! This was a fun one, though I don't usually write romance. Your take sounds great too. Also I just did a bit of creeping and read your R1 story, it was so good! Good luck in R2, though you probably won't need it Wink

Embarrassing but I accidentally re-posted my last post cause I thought it didn't work. Editing and replacing with this humble apology (also can't figure out how to delete, #technicalissues). Please ignore. Embarrassed

Every synopsis in this thread sounds fantastic. I can't wait to get started reading them!

Heat 3
Fantasy/A Loan/An Introvert

Chaya
A woman has lived exactly the life she’s wanted for ten long and sweet years. But this life was never hers to keep, and the time has come for her to return to the life she left behind.

Can you tell I wrote this synopsis at 11:57pm(!!!)? The giveaway should be the use of the word "life" literally 4 times. I honestly had to cut out some of what I thought made Chaya's story special, and I didn't pace myself well, obviously haha. So while I'm not entirely pleased with what I submitted in the end, I'm really glad to have a piece I can improve upon outside of the contest.

Looking forward to reading and commenting on other stories! Especially my fellow Heat 3 members :)

My family said there were a few snickery bits in the story, but overall no overt laughter. I'm not particularly happy with the synopsis but it's in now so no take-backs :)  My first draft somehow took on a life of its own and morphed into a weird instrumental soft-porn... needless to say, a lot of rewrites were required.  Looking forward to reading both your stories if you post. Hopefully, more niners post as well.

Hi heat mate! Instrumental soft porn sounds interesting... maybe post your first draft as well 😉

I’ll be posting - looking forward to seeing where everyone else went with their prompts.

Now I have “this one time, at band camp” in my head 😂
