I just spent a delightful time reviewing a story, posted my review, and had the post rejected as spam by a rude robot which accused me of making too many posts.

I am certainly not a spammer: will the robot kindly apologise?

So now what do I do with my review? Please be politeWink

Edited to add: But the review was posted anyways: I guess this is a ghost in the machine?

This happens when we accidentally post the same comment more than once.  I have even gotten it when I have posted the comment only once. Don’t worry. In my experience here, this is an occasional issue.

When we are commenting on a story and have the comment box open for a long time, our comment will sometimes be rejected.  When we go back, we find our comment has been lost. I make it a practice  to copy my comment before posting it. That way we can simply paste the comment into a new comment box.

Yeah this happens all the time. Don't worry it has zero impact on your forum priviledges, this code is nowhere near sophisticated enough for that :D

I think this would be caused by your mouse click registering twice, even though it may have felt like a single click. Hell: even if it WAS a single click, sometimes the Matrix will count it as two.

Goes to show nothing is ever quite perfect, huh?

Yep -- and for a perfectionist like me, it's maddening! Smile
