Have you actually tried writing a screenplay during a black-out, or are you quitting before you ever get started?

I'm pretty sure that's how Shostakovitch's Octet was written.  More likely he used stevenmatlock's method.

Nothing else adequately explains how something that bad still shows up in the repertoire.
