How's everyone feeling about their R2 prompts?
I ended up in Heat 4: Mystery - Setting a trap - A tutor... Not bad. I might already have a little something cooking. From the looks of it, some folks from R1H20 ended up in my heat again! Let's match words and imagery once more, then! Good luck to everyone! |

Ohh Zblugg, I'm envious!
I'm in heat 7: Historical fiction - fear of heights - dictator. Historical fiction in 72 hours: NAY! Good thing is that I mistakenly thought we only had 48 hours in this round but really relieved we have 72. This ain't called a "challenge" for nothin' so putting my thinking cap on. Good luck to all!! Juli

Juli, I was actually dreading the prospect of Historical Fiction being my genre, so I fully sympathize. 72 hours is right, though I can't tell if that'll be enough...
But as you said, it's MEANT to be a challenge! Hang in there! |

I am right there with that historical fiction woe! I just keep telling myself that I am doing this for the challenge, and this is basically the biggest challenge yet!

I really wanted horror (can we swap groups TimG? 😉) but got drama.
Drama - searching for a biological parent - a professional athlete. Not loving it on first glance, drama feels a bit of a nothing genre to me. But I think I would find historical fiction more daunting I've got to say! (Sorry). Now I just need to carve out some time over the weekend. Hopefully my Father's Day present this year will be time to write... 😬 Good luck everyone! Edited by rossinny - 16 Jun 2017 at 2:43am |

Sci Fi here. One of my favorite genres to read and watch but I've actually never written in this genre!
A wise friend just reminded me that FICTION is at the heart of Sci-Fi. A mantra I will carry throughout the weekend.
Good luck, everyone! |

I'm loving my prompts -- Suspense, home security, a youth sports coach. Already have my outline done and starting the first draft script in about an hour.
I noticed my good friend Scarlet Screenwriter got Historical Fiction, something he's really great at, so this round ought to be all sewn up for him! Best of luck to everyone in Round 2. :)

Same here, Suspense, home security, a youth sports coach.
How baked in does the profession need to be? My retired army general story was all based around her being a retired army general. But if I just had someone arrive home with a sports bag and go "phew, tough day coaching those youths", and then that was the last we heard of their sporting would that be frowned upon? Just finding it hard to make their job integral to what I wanna write.

I hear you! I wish I could swap places. Horror is not really my cup of tea. Drama would have been great! Sigh! |
