Ok for the final time for the Short Screenplay Challenge 2016/17 here's the place to post your titles and loglines.

Would also be good to say what your chosen genre was.

Prompts: Open / a crater / pepper spray.

I chose to write a satirical comedy.

If You're In A Hole, Stop Digging

Nothing out of the ordinary ever happens in the sleepy English village of Great Snoring. That is until a big smelly hole opens up in Butt End - causing a right old stink for one particular resident.

I'm intrigued. Looking forward to reading it.

I went Sci-Fi.

The Journey Home:

A young man takes a road trip to meet his girlfriend's parents for the first time, but along the way she starts acting strangely.

OVER THE EDGE

A woman goes on a camping trip with her boastful husband and his ego for company. But pride comes before a fall.

If I had to put it in a genre it's probably comedy, but the more I tweaked it the more it became a bit more of a drama. I'll look forward to your thoughts on what the heck genre I wrote in...

Hello!  I was trying to somehow get mine into political satire but couldn't quite manage that so I'm just calling it a drama.

#solidarity

The news media descends on a demonstration at a nuclear test site to report on protesters, police, and celebrities, with one glaring omission.

I thought the crater would lead to more Sci-Fi's - but these all sound great

My original idea involved humans living in a crater ghetto following an alien invasion of earth - but figured sci-fi might get overdone, so ruled it out.  Now reading these, it seems comedy was more popular LOL

I think Tim counted five before the round began.
