I'll show you mine if you show me yours... ;)

Group: 5

RomCom Dead / A ski mountain / A remote control

"A Remote Encounter"

Synopsis: A well-timed dump saves a man’s life and preserves a spark in a cynic’s heart. Sort of.
Have a glass of wine and take it like a writer.

Wait... like... an actual dump? Like.... a POO??!?

I got Sci-Fi / A convention center / a pumpkin pie.

Whoops, forgot the title: The Gathering

Synopsis: A young girl learns to trust her instincts.

(I always err on the side of brevity with my synopses.)

Cutting this one down from 1906 was harder than most cuts I've made in the past. I miss the slower pacing and backstory of the longer version, but overall, I think I'm happy with this one, kind of, we'll see, oh dear. . .

The Way Home
Henry thinks taking home a branch from the locally cursed tree will prove himself to the other boys, but with help from his sister, Hazel, he discovers he’s got nothing left to prove.

Group 1: Ghost story, a forest, a saw

Waiting Shadows
Brief Synopsis: Emma stares outside at the raging blizzard and prays for her husband’s safe return from his hunting trip. Unfortunately, an unwanted guest shows up instead.

This one is...I don't know. I just wasn't in the mood to write a ghost story, lol. But I still had fun with it. So hopefully others will too. Tongue Great job surviving yet another insane round, everyone! Eager to see what you came up with!

Group 3:    Horror   |    A Tunnel   |   A Stopwatch

Pipeline
A surfer’s perfect day becomes a nightmare

{Dear contesty peoples:  I loathe synopses, and think they take more away from the story than they add.  Please, no.}

Group 1: ghost story, forest, saw. :(

Title: The boy without eyes
Synopsis: Blinded, the second son of a great lord confronts his father’s ghost in a cursed forest. But will he be worthy to be the instrument of his father’s revenge.

I went a bit Brothers Grimm. It is probably more fairy tale than ghost story.
