I've seen some posts list their standing from previous years. This is try #3 and I don't ever remember seeing my standing. Don't get me wrong, the feedback was very helpful but I've never received my ranking. Is there a way we can know it?

Oooh this is something I was wondering but I came to the conclusion that they wouldn't post non-placing rankings in the interest of kindness. Like, if I was dead last, I don't think I'd want to know haha! But yeah, extremely curious!

That would not be useful to their business plan if they disenfranchised half of each heat, lol.
In the shorter version of this contest, where we were writing two scripts of five pages for round one - two months or so apart - they awarded the points of which the total from the two scripts would decide if you moved on, but it only went to 15th place in ranking - quite often people who did not score on the first script would score a 15 on the second and move on, lol, it was a fun contest. It is too bad they decided to scrap that contest in favor of a 500 word flash contest.

It’s just the top 5 that get ranked for placement into the next round then the 5 honourable mentions as well (and top 3 in rd 2). If people knew who came in last or low in the rankings, that could be embarrassing and a confidence killer for most writers. In the end of the day, the only placements that matter are those that advance! Good luck this year!
