Hi everyone,

I had a quick question regarding group sizes and points allocation in the Flash Fiction challenge.

Do only the top 15 stories from each group get awarded points (per the example in the competition rules), or are the points determined by the group size?

I’m curious because there’s more than 30 entrants in my group.

Hello. No expert here but this is my third FF and my understanding is only the top 15 in each group receive points. 15 points for #1 and 14 for #2 and so on. After 15, there are no rankings or points no matter how many are in the group.

FYI I believe I have seen (I think in challenge 2) where there weren't 15 entries so all got points.

EMeadows is correct, regardless of group size, only 15 stories receive points in round 1. The slate is wiped clean for round 2, and 15 stories from each group receive points then as well.
It is possible to score zero points in round 1, receive a high score in round 2, and qualify for round 3!

Thanks for the explanation.

I’ll go back to chewing my fingernails while I wait for the results email LOL.
