How did you like the NotW, Cosborne? And, for that matter, Wise Man's Fear?

I loved both books, though Kvothe's perfection did get on my nerves more often than I'd like, but overall it was a great ride. I lost faith in the possibility that the third book ever will come out.

Slow Regard of Silent Things left me... meh, for some reason.

My favourite current author is David Mitchell of Cloud Atlas fame, but A Thousand Autumns of Jacob de Zoet I think is his masterpiece - probably my favourtie piece of fiction in recent years.

The Martian - Andy Weir
The Hot Zone - Richard Preston
Push - Sapphire (disturbing, this will haunt you for a long while but it isn't a thriller or horror.)

If you are one to read Graphic Novels every once in a while, you absolutely have to read Daytripper, by Gabriel Ba. It's only the second GN to make me cry (Maus was the first). But it's not only sad; it hits, as they say, all of the feels.
