Congratulations to those writers who are advancing to the finals of the Short Screenplay Challenge this Friday.
 I will not be joining you but I had a great run and I’m quite pleased with my achievements. I wrote my very first screenplay ever last Jan/Feb in the Screenwriting Challenge and got an HM in Round 1. I’ve learnt quite a bit here at NYCM and elsewhere. Still much more to learn! WAAAAAAAAAAT! Thanks to marvellous betas (and poor Fred Lial's sacrifice to the craft), I managed to slip through the cracks into 4th place!

Where we're going, we don't need genres... In fact, I believe the final round is always object+location, open genre. And I dread it.
