Hi, first time SSC participant and young writer here. I am looking for a seasonal job for my character. Something that maybe lends itself to a interesting setting? If anyone has or knows about a good seasonal job, I'd love to hear about it.
Thanks! (:

Santa Claus (or an elf) at the mall?
Migrant fruit/vegetable picker?
Snow shoveling?
Lawn mowing?
Lemonade stand?
Gardener?
Hunter? (Deer season, elk season, turkey season...)

What are the other prompts that you need to hit?

Oooh...looks like Drama and Revenge.

Perhaps a salty elf wants to get back at Santa for messing with his girlfriend (who is also one of the elves)? Haha

Many retail stores hire seasonal workers during the holidays, as does FedEx and UPS. Then there are the various tax preparation companies that hire during tax season. Some farms and vineyards hire during harvest times. Also, not only amusement parks, but traveling carnivals/fairs only set up during the warmer months (at least here in the US).

Most of these are seasonal in a 4-season setting like. New England: (edited to add: autocorrect wanted this to say “Ew England”. 2 feet of snow/30 below & I agree)
Ski instructor
Life guard
Plow truck driver
Landscaping
Anyone working at a marina
Anyone working at a golf course
Pop-up Halloween store worker
Park ranger (I’m thinking of parks that close in winter)
