Whew! Lost my internet connection for about 5 hours not long after I submitted. This has been happening on and off for a couple months now. Time to find a new provider, I think. I've about had it with this one!

Water You Wearing?

A charity fashion show on the Massewengo Boardwalk is one girl’s dream come true—and one girl’s nightmare. When all eyes are on Allie, will she make a splash or drown in failure?

I am properly embarrassed about this tagline, yes. Big smile This was the second and a half story I'd written for this round (the first one and a half were AWFUL), so I was scrambling against the time limit to write a synopsis.

Geez, Teresa...really?  Do you REALLY have to keep showing everyone up? Wink

Seriously--congrats on your last story.  It didn't surprise me at all that you were one of the top scorers in the round.  And it looks like your next story is going to DEFINITELY be in there too.

I, honestly, was just happy to make it in the top 15 (though I guess I technically placed 9th).  I'm crossing my fingers that I can at least do well enough in this round that it gets me into round 3.  If I can get a 7 or higher again...MAYBE that'd put me into round 3.

Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Group 24 / Romance / Airport lost and found office / A cigar

"Lost and Found"
A young man’s lost engagement ring leads him to learn the true power of love.

Yeah, completely unoriginal title given the location.  And a dreadfully dull log line.  But hopefully you think the story itself is sweet once posted.  Romance is so far outside my comfort zone (and I couldn't write this one from an oven's perspective this time!).
