I know I don't want Historical fiction...and that means I'll probably get it.

Comedy, horror, scifi, or drama (I'll even take romance or satire). Just not fantasy again. Oh please, god, not fantasy again.

See, I like the fantasy -- that means I can get as crazy as I need in order to use the setting and object without it seeming forced... History, ye gads, I couldn't do that. And while I'd like to think I could do comedy, I am not sure I could under the contraints (especially the word count limit).
So, probably fantasy or sci-fi would be nice, is there any chance we can get the same genre in both heats of round 1? I guess if it is random and there are two fantasy slots... JoeK |

I had Romance-Rollercoaster-Straw in Round #1. I figure anything is "up" from there.

as someone who hopefully "survived" historical fiction (group 11), i'm looking forward to something a little less grounded in the next round. at the same time, writing in that genre was a huge stretch, and probably a good warmup. can't wait to see how others tackled it.

What is historical fiction anyway? I'm glad I didn't get it because I would have no idea what to write? Is it like fiction about an event in history, like the Titanic story?
I would like to get comedy, fantasy or sci-fi. Though I got sci-fi this time so comedy or fantasy would be great. |
